INFOFLASH 108 – Council of Europe Cultural Routes. Forum in Yerevan, Armenia, September 25, 2026. Impressionisms Routes©, Winner of the Award for “Promoting European Memory, History, and Heritage”
We are delighted to announce that the Impressionisms Routes© network has been awarded the 2026 “ Best Practice” Award for the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes program in the category: Promoting European Memory, History, and Heritage. This award, obtained during the annual ICCE Forum held this year in Yerevan, Armenia, from September 23 to 25, 2026—shared with the National Gallery of Armenia—recognizes the exemplary cooperation between our two organizations.
This collaboration first led to an exhibition in Barbizon showcasing Armenian Impressionism from June 21 to November 2, 2025: Colors and Light of Armenian Impressionism, followed by an international conference on the internationalization of Impressionism in Yerevan on October 28 and 29, 2025. It not only led to the publication of the first book on Impressionism in Armenia but also enabled us to develop a methodology for cooperation that we will begin using in 2027.
The award was presented to Pierre Bedouelle, President of Impressionisms Routes©, during the closing session of the Forum. Impressionisms Routes© is delighted to see the excellence and originality of its work officially recognized at the highest level. First and foremost, we would like to thank the representatives of the National Gallery of Armenia, with whom we have forged a genuine friendship.
We dedicate this award to our members and partners who have worked alongside us for years with the same determination to promote and enhance European culture. We thank the French Ministry of Culture, whose unwavering support we deeply appreciate.
