The Route Cezanne, which connects Aix-en-Provence over 4.7 km to the village of the Tholonet, is the only road in France classified as a Historic Monument! It is to the friendship of André Masson and André Malraux that we owe this distinction made in 1959 which celebrates an exceptional site magnified and known throughout the world thanks to the talent of Paul Cezanne! As a source of inspiration, the Route has attracted many artists, writers, poets and philosophers who have been able to flourish in these places.

Pourquoi Monet est important

Signification parmi les nénuphars

“This impressive book is a valuable contribution to the scholarship on Monet and later nineteenth- and early twentieth-century French art and culture more broadly. By the end of it, readers will have a far richer understanding of the manifold ways that Monet’s late work intersects with major artistic, political, and philosophical currents of the period.” Michelle Foa, author of « Georges Seurat: The Art of Vision ».
