Impressionisms Routes

Published in 2016

Published in September 2016 by "Les Itinéraires", this book is the main written material of the program of European Cultural Route "Impressionisms Routes" submitted by EAU ET LUMIERE to the Council of Europe. It aims at showing the importance of the impressionist movement in Europe, describing the multiple exchanges initiated between the European artists since the mid-19th century, and presenting the first twelve routes created by Eau et Lumière, which make up the network settled by the Association in the framework of the "Impressionisms Routes" project for which we are applying for the label "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe".

This book is presented in two parts, linked by an original map of the Impressionist movement in Europe, created on this occasion.

Published in the two official languages of the Council of Europe: French and English, it comprises 128 pages and many illustrations. The main text describing the Impressionist movement in Europe has been written by Monique LUCENET, Associate Professor, Ph.D. in history (University Paris IV-Sorbonne) and author of many books on Impressionism. Monique LUCENET is a member of the Eau & Lumière Scientific Committee.
